FAQ
- How is Buck Ammo's ammunition different from other manufacturers? Our normal production ammunition is assembled one round
at a time on single stage, match grade equipment. Typically, our presses are made by Forster and our dies are made by Forster and Redding. The same
technician will handle your order from beginning to end. Our components are specially selected for the intended cartridge. We use the best brass, powder and primers
that is normally available for each application.
- Why is our ammunition more expensive than other brands? This is sort of a loaded question; our prices are on par with other American made
ammunition. The fact is there is 3.5 hours labor in each hundred round lot of our ammunition. This translates into about $44.00 per lot. We
could reduce the amount of labor required to produce our ammunition by automation, but then we would be no different than other ammunition
manufacturers and our quality would suffer.
- How easy is it customize my ammunition? In many instances it is very easy to make changes to your order. Take a look at our
Custom Loading Service. One of the easiest ways to improve precision of a given load is to seat the bullet a few thousandths of an inch off the
riffling. Simply purchase one of the various gauges on the market to determine the correct seating length. Provide us with this information when
you place your order and we will make the changes to your ammunition free of charge.
- Why does it take two weeks to ship our ammunition? We will do our best to ship your order within ten business days. Since
we are a custom production facility, your order is manufactured when it is placed. While we keep a huge volume of stock on hand, we frequently
must order component bullets from the manufacturer to fill an order.
- How consistent is our ammunition from lot to lot? We absolutely do our best to maintain consistency form lot to lot. Generally,
our powders, primers and cases are purchased in bulk. Sometimes our suppliers will change things on us, but for the most part we are aware of
these changes and can adjust our loads accordingly.

contact us for details.

same firearm. Certain police and military entities are exempt from this tax. Currently the federal Excise Tax on
